Economical use of resources is a challenge and an opportunity at the same time. Taking the right decisions now saves not only energy, but also money.

In Krefeld we develop and produce our gas- and oil-fired steam generators with an extremely high degree of efficiency of up to 93% without exhaust gas heat exchanger. This is achieved through the 3-fold air insulation with simultaneous preheating of combustion air at very low emission losses. In addition, an energy reduction of up to 13% can be achieved with the Parcovap® condensate heat exchanger developed by CERTUSS.

Newly developed CERTUSS combustion systems ensure optimal, environmentally friendly combustion. The burners operate in accordance with the annular gap system and are tailored exactly to the respective boiler size. They are also characterized by clearly reduced maintenance requirements compared to conventional burners. The gas control system with individual components from renowned manufacturers is tailored specially to the operating requirements of the steam generators. Burners and steam generators together form a unit. In order to reduce the energy consumption further, exhaust gas heat exchangers ("Economiser") were developed specially for every boiler size. Under utilization of the condensation heat of the waste gases our customers can thus achieve combustion-specific degrees of efficiency of more than 100%. All the CERTUSS steam generators are set up preliminarily for low-emission (NOx) operation by means of flue-gas recycling.

In the overall energy balance of a steam system further factors play a role in addition to the combustion-specific degree of efficiency of the steam generator. One source of potential saving of energy lies in the heat-up time. Within a maximum of five minutes after the cold start of a CERTUSS steam generator, 100% steam in high quality, so-called saturated steam with low residual moisture content, is available to our customers. CERTUSS ensures constantly high steam quality for example through the pilot flame of the burner. This means that the required burner output and thus steam output is available immediately when required and this without pre-ventilation and the ensuing pressure drop in the steam network. A further decisive advantage against other boiler systems.

With the Thermotimat PLC control system developed by CERTUSS, it is furthermore possible to achieve operator-free operation as well as the cutting in and out of individual steam generators via the steam pressure or via control information from the machines to be supplied. This means: Steam is only produced when it is needed!
Thus saving energy and money!

Every CERTUSS steam generator is conceived, manufactured, if desired installed and commissioned in accordance with the customer's requirements.
